- Vehicle description: motorcycles. These motorcycles may have been assembled with threaded fasteners from a defective material lot that may fail in assembly. These fasteners are used to attach four sub-assemblies onto the vehicle.
- Consequence
- Fastener failure will reduce the clamp load strength of the assembly and possible joint failure.
- Remedy
- Dealers will replace the M10X50 socket head screws with new parts.
- Notes
- Owner notification began April 5, 2000.
