- Vehicle description: passenger vehicles. Due to an internal defect in the circuitry of the blower motor regulator, the regulator may overheat.
- Consequence
- This could cause surrounding plastic, insulation, and wiring to deform and possibly melt or burn.
- Remedy
- Dealers will replace the blower motor regulator.
- Notes
- Owner notification began may 22, 2000.OWNERS who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact mercedes-benz at 1-800-367-6372.ALSO contact the national highway traffic safety administration's auto safety hotline at 1-888-dash-2-dot (1-888-327-4236).
