- Vehicle description: motorcycles. The fuel gauge and low fuel warning system may not provide accurate indication of low fuel levels.
- Consequence
- The operator could run out of fuel without warning, causing the operator to become distracted, or to slow unexpectedly in traffic, creating the risk of a crash.
- Remedy
- Dealers will replace the fuel gauge sending components.
- Notes
- Owner notification began December 28, 2000. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact kawasaki at 1-949-770-0400.ALSO contact the national highway traffic safety administration's auto safety hotline at 1-888-dash-2-dot (1-888-327-4236).
