- Summary
- Vehicle description: motor homes. The furnace is exposed to a storage compartment.
- Consequence
- Items stored in the compartment under the range could come in contact with the furnace, potentially becoming heated and result in a fire.
- Remedy
- Dealers will install sidewall paneling to the exposed furnace opening. This will separate the furnace from the storage compartment under the range.
- Notes
- Owner notification began January 3, 2001. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact damon AT1-800-860-3812. Also contact the national highway traffic safety administration's auto safety hotline at 1-888-dash-2-dot (1-888-327-4236).
