On certain trucks and truck-tractors equipped with TRW pcf steering gears, a crack can occur in the steering gear input shaft.

- On certain trucks and truck-tractors equipped with TRW pcf steering gears, a crack can occur in the steering gear input shaft.
- Consequence
- It is possible that a driver could experience a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy
- Dealers will inspect the steering gear and replace it if necessary. Owner notification is expected to begin during September 2003. Owners should contact freightliner at 1-800-547-0712.
