Summary: On certain motor homes, the water heater was installed under the slide-out, which made it possible for fumes to enter the coach when the water heater is lit and the coach is parked with the slide-out extended.
Consequence: This can cause fumes to come up inside the coach, increasing the risk of injury to the vehicle occupants.
Remedy: Dealers will relocate the water heater to the opposite side of the motor home. Owner notification began on June 30, 2004. Owners should contact monaco at 1-800-685-6545.
