- On certain motorcycles and scooters, the rear brake shoe material could separate due to improper adhesive curing.
- Consequence
- If such separation occurs during operation, braking ability with the rear wheel will be reduced or lost, which could cause a crash.
- Remedy
- Dealers will replace the rear brake shoes. The recall began on October 8, 2004. Owners should contact yamaha at 1-800-889-2624.
