- On certain heavy duty class 8 trucks, the bolts that attach the steering gear to the frame may not be tightened properly.
- Consequence
- This may affect the performance of the steering which may result in a vehicle crash.
- Remedy
- Dealers will check the torque on the bolts that attach the steering gear to the frame and tighten the bolts properly. The recall began August 18, 2005. Owners may contact mack at 1-800-528-6586.
