On certain trailers, the wheel stud can fail and separates at the base of the thread.

- Summary
- On certain trailers, the wheel stud can fail and separates at the base of the thread. This reduces clamp force on the wheel.
- Consequence
- The studs snap off and the wheel and tire are no longer secured to the hub. The wheel may separate from the trailer causing it to be a projectile on the highway increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy
- Dealers will replace the hubs with new studs free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided an owner notification schedule. Owners may contact forest river at 574-389-4600.
