- Summary
- On certain vehicles equipped with the advanced passenger seat air bag weight sensor system. A malfunction can occur in the supplemental restraint system (SRS) electronic control unit (ECU) software when the battery is not fully charged.
- Consequence
- In the event of a crash, the passenger side air bag and passenger seatbelt pre-tensioner may not deploy increasing the risk of injuries.
- Remedy
- Dealers will replace the SRS ECU units as necessary free of charge. All vehicles have been corrected.
