Summary
Club card is recalling certain model year 2008-2010 vehicles for failing to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard (FMVSS) no. 209 "seat belt assemblies." the seat belt originally provided with the vehicles meets society of automotive engineers (sae) standards instead. The difference in these two standards is the impact level at which the seat belt retractor locks.
Consequence
This does not meet the standard requirements.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the seat belt free of charge. The safety recall began on July 13, 2010. Owners may contact club car at 1-800-227-0739.
