- Summary
- Navistar is recalling certain model year 2011 international 7300, 7400, 7500, vehicles for failing to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 108,ds"'lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment." these vehicles are installed with improper headlight height of 55.5 inches and the correct height should be 54 inches.
- Consequence
- Improper height on the headlights may not fully illuminate the road surface or may inhibit the ability of motorists to see vehicles which can increase the risk of a crash.
- Remedy
- Dealers will install the correct headlights free of charge. The safety recall is expected to begin on or before February 25, 2010. Owners may contact navistar at 1-800-448-7825.
