- Summary
- Bluecar SAS (Bluecar) is recalling certain model year 2016 Bluecar hybrid-electric vehicles manufactured June 7, 2015, to September 11, 2015. The affected vehicles have a gear shift lever that may break preventing the car from maintaining the intended gear position.
- Consequence
- If the gear shift lever breaks, the vehicle may become immobilized, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy
- Bluecar has notified the one purchaser of the affected vehicles and the remedy of replacing the gear shift with a newly designed gear lever has begun, free of charge.
