2022 Utilimaster Walk-IN Van
The transmission shifter cable may contact the exhaust manifold, causing the outer coating to melt and damaging the cable.

- Summary
- Shyft Group is recalling certain 2022 Utilimaster Walk-In vans. The transmission shifter cable may contact the exhaust manifold, causing the outer coating to melt and damaging the cable.
- Consequence
- A melted outer coating may increase the risk of a fire. A damaged cable may prevent the transmission from shifting, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy
- Shyft Group will reroute and secure the transmission shifter cable, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on November 7, 2022. Owners may contact Shyft Group's customer service at 1-800-237-7806. Shyft Group's number for this recall is 22-11.
