- Summary
- Farber Specialty Vehicles (Farber Specialty) is recalling certain 2025 45 MCXCR and 2025-2026 HX620 SBA 6X4 emergency vehicles. The touchscreen display may stop responding to touch commands or fail to power on, preventing the activation of exterior emergency lights, as well as fire fighting and other emergency equipment.
- Consequence
- A loss of exterior lights can reduce the visibility of the vehicle to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash. Inoperative equipment can delay emergency response, increasing the risk of injury.
- Remedy
- Farber Specialty will work with Akron Brass to update the firmware and repair the power line, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 17, 2026. Owners may contact Farber customer service at 1-800-331-3188.
