Notes: Possibility that the power steering booster ball stud housing could be undersized.an undersized housing would have reduced strength which could result in a fatigue crack in the area of the ball stud which will reflect in 'free play' of the steering wheel.if a crack in the housing is allowed to progress far enough the ball stud could work loose from the housing and result in a loss of steering control.(correct by replacing undersized housing.)
