Summary: On the involved vehicles, the word "fuel" is missing from the label for the fuel tank shut-off valve. This constitutes a non-compliance to federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 123, "motorcycle controls and displays". Due to this omission, the operator may be unable to locate the shut-off valve to stop the flow of fuel from the tank.
Remedy: Owner will be sent the proper identification label. This may be installed by the owner or by the dealer, if preferred.
