- On the involved vehicles, a rear-end impact at closing speeds of about 10 m.p.h. Or less could result in the fuel tank being punctured by a taillight mounting bolt.
- Remedy
- Dealer will install protective caps over each of the three right rear taillight mounting bolts, without charge to owner.
- Notes
- Vehicle description: passenger vehicles.system: fuel; fuel tank assembly.consequences of defect: leaking fuel, resulting from an impact from the rear,could lead to a vehicle fire and serious injury to passengers.
