Summary: The involved vehicles were manufactured using a standard type nut to fasten the steering wheel to the steering column. This nut may not have been tightened to specifications and may back off the steering column as a result. This will allow the steering wheel to disengage from the column.
Remedy: Dealer will replace the standard nut with a self-locking nut that will be tightened to specifications, without charge to owner.
