Summary: The bolts that clamp the mor/ryde suspension beam and lower mounting plate to the axle may break as a result of misalignment of the bolts due to non-parallel surfaces of the upper beam plate and the lower bottom plate. Another contributing factor is the absence of shear blocks to the upper spacer pad.
Remedy: Manufacturer will install new mor/ryde beam assemblies, lower mounting plates, bolts, nuts and washers.
Notes: Vehicle description: buses equipped with 10 inch rear brakes and mor/rydesuspension.system: suspension; rear engine axle, mounting bolts.consequences of defect: this condition could allow the axle to shift, possiblyresulting in loss of vehicle control and an accident.note: owner is advised to inspect the vehicle weekly for cracked or brokenbolts until the condition is corrected.
