Summary: Some vehicles may have been equipped with undersized mirrors which fail to comply with federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 111, "rear view mirrors". In addition, the certification label may contain incorrect tire and rim information.
Remedy: Owners are being sent the proper mirror and vehicle identification tag with the owner letter. Owners are advised to complete the replacement as soon as possible.
Notes: Vehicle description: mopeds.system: visual; mirror and equipment; certification label.consequences of defect: insufficient rearward visibility may prevent safeoperation of the vehicle and lead to an accident. Inaccurate tire and riminformation will prevent the owner from completing proper maintenance of tireinflation and replacement which may lead to a loss of vehicle control and anaccident.
