Summary: Faulty filter collapses under normal amount of pressure. Loss of steering power assist will result.
Remedy: Customers were telephoned and instructed to remove filter element from steering. Mci will later send a replacement filter and a compensation fee of $8.00 for labor.
Notes: Vehicle description: intercity buses.system: steering; power steering assist filter.consequences of defect: steering will become difficult. Possible loss ofcontrol could result in an accident.
