Summary: Axles were inadequately heat treated. Consequence of defect: under ordinary use, axles may bend, which may cause separation of the wheel assembly from the axle or the vehicle. This could result in an accident.
Remedy: Vehicles should not be operated until axles have been replaced with new original equipment specification axles.
Notes: Vehicle description: travel trailers and fifth wheels with axles of 3,300 TO4,500 pound gross vehicle weight rating. System: axles.
