- Nut safety clip securing steering wheel was omitted after replacement leather steering wheel was installed. Consequence of defect: steering wheel securing nut may loosen and allow the wheel to be pulled off the steering column resulting in total loss of steering control, which could result in an accident.
- Remedy
- Properly install steering wheel nut securing clip.
