During continuous heater/blower operation, insufficient contact between the metal part of the fuse and the fuse holder may generate excessive heat.

Summary: During continuous heater/blower operation, insufficient contact between the metal part of the fuse and the fuse holder may generate excessive heat. Consequence of defect: if longer fuse which is available in the U.S. Is installed, excessive heat could cause the insulation on the electrical wiring around the fuse box to melt; the heater and defroster would fail, obstructing the drivers view through the windshield.
Remedy: Replace fuse in the heater/blower circuit with a circuit breaker.
