- Ball joint nut could loosen causing separation of theball joint from the steering knuckle; this could result in loss of steeringcontrol and a vehicle crash without prior warning.

- Replace improperly crimped or missing ball joint stud nut cotter pins; also, replace steering knuckle assemblies, as necessary.
