Summary: Incorrect lug bolts may have been used in the manufacturing of the spare wheel carrier. These lug bolts may break allowing the spare wheel to fall off. Consequence of defect: breakage of the lug bolts allowing the spare wheel to fall to the road way will create a road hazard for other vehicles.
Remedy: Install proper size wheel lug bolts.
