Summary: The steering wheel hub taper may be larger than the specified tolerances.
Consequence: Progressive wear of the mating parts could result in hubspline wear, causing the steering wheel fit to become loose. A loose fit in thesteering wheel hub can cause loss of steering control and potential vehiclecrash without warning.
Remedy: Replace defective steering wheel hubs.
