Summary: TRW supplied power steering gears with non-heat-treated worm screws. The steering gears without heat treated worm screws can lock up in tight turning maneuvers.
Consequence: Lock ups of the steering gear causes loss of steeringcontrol and could result in an accident.
Remedy: Replace the non-heat-treated worm screws.
