Summary: Interference between the pitman arm and the steering gear housing due to insufficient clearance.
Consequence: This condition can cause limited or complete loss ofsteering control.
Remedy: Inspect vehicles for clearance and replace pitman arm if additional clearance with steering gear housing is necessary.
Notes: System: steering.vehicle description: conventional trucks equipped with set-back front axlelocation, straight-rail forward chassis, and TRW/ross hfb 70 steering gear.
