- Summary
- The rear spring hanger on the front suspension can break.
- Consequence
- This condition can allow the spring to become detached from the lower frame rail affecting vehicle control and increasing the potential for a vehicle accident.
- Remedy
- Dealers will add two fasteners per bracket increasing the total number of fasteners from four (4) to six (6).
- Notes
- System: suspension; independent front attaching mechanisms; spring.vehicle description: fire truck chassis.note: owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time, should contact spartan at 1-517-543-6400.
