- Vehicle description: trailer converter dollies. An air line was connected to an incorrect port in the air valve causing the parking brake to be inoperative.
- Consequence
- The parking brake on the converter dolly and the parking brake on the trailer being towed will be inoperative increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.
- Remedy
- Dealers will inspect the air line and correct the air line connection if necessary.
- Notes
- Owner notification:owner notification began June 12, 1997.OWNERS who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact hpa monon at 1-800-231-6413.ALSO contact the national highway traffic safety administration's auto safety hotline at 1-800-424-9393.
