- Summary
- Vehicle description: passenger vehicles. One of three styrofoam pads located in each rear door as part of the design for ensuring compliance with FMVSS no. 214, "side door strength," was not installed.
- Consequence
- In the event of a vehicle crash, an occupant would not be properly protected increasing the risk of personal injury.
- Remedy
- Dealers will install the missing pad in each rear door.
- Notes
- Note:owner notification will begin during August 1996.OWNERS who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Nissan at 1-800-nissan 1 (1-800-647-7261).also contact the national highway traffic safety administration's auto safety hotline at 1-800-424-9393.
