Summary: Vehicle description: aluminum walk-in vans built on GM P30 classic chassis. Inadequate clearance between the fuel tank sending unit and the floor plank of the body can cause the fuel lines and/or sending unit to rub against the floor structure when the floor deflects under load or the fuel tank expands.
Consequence: This condition could cause damage over an extended period of time to the fuel tank sending unit and/or fuel lines and cause fuel leakage. If an ignition source was present, fire could result.
