- Consequence
- Cracks in a hub flange can result in a wheel separation.
- Remedy
- Dealers will remove and replace the front hubs with an improved design level 2 hub.
- Notes
- Owner notification will be completed by December 10, 1997.OWNERS who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact freightliner at 1-503-735-8682.ALSO contact the national highway traffic safety administration's auto safety hotline at 1-800-424-9393.
