- Summary
- Vehicle description: travel trailers. A spacer tube on the frame was omitted. This spacer tube allows adequate clearance between the tire and wheel well.
- Consequence
- The tire could be damaged and/or blow out from contact with the wheel well increasing the risk of loss of control of the vehicle.
- Remedy
- Dealers will install a dexter axle kit which will reverse the spring orientation to gain the clearance needed.
- Notes
- Owner notification began February 24, 1998.OWNERS who take their trailer to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact jayco at 1-219-825-5861.ALSO contact the national highway traffic safety administration's auto safety hotline at 1-888-dash-2-dot (1-888-327-4236).
