- Vehicle description: multi-purpose passenger vehicle. The driver's side air bag 'clock spring' wiring harness can break when turned to the 'full lock' turn position.
- Consequence
- In the event of a vehicle crash, the air bag may not deploy increasing the risk of serious injury to the occupant.
- Remedy
- Dealers will replace the clock spring in these air bags.
- Notes
- Owner notification began April 13, 1998.OWNERS who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Chrysler at 1-800-992-1997.ALSO contact the national highway traffic safety administration's auto safety hotline at 1-888-dash-2-dot (1-888-327-4236).
