- Summary
- Vehicle description: fire apparatus cabs equipped with center mounted rear seats. The upper d-ring seat belt anchorages for the rear seats fail to comply to the requirements of FMVSS no. 210, "seat belt assembly anchorages."
- Consequence
- In the event of a vehicle crash, the rear seat occupant may not be properly restrained increasing the risk of personal injury.
- Remedy
- Dealers will replace these d-ring anchorages.

- Owner notification began October 14, 1998.OWNERS who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact freightliner at 1-800-547-0712.ALSO contact the national highway traffic safety administration's auto safety hotline at 1-888-dash-2-dot (1-888-327-4236).
