- Vehicle description: motor homes. The parking brake capacity is insufficient to hold the maximum gross vehicle weight rating while parked on an incline.
- Consequence
- The vehicle could roll while parked on an incline, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy
- Dealers will increase the brake slack adjuster length and install brake shoes with different lining material.
- Notes
- Owner notification began March 31, 2001. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact spartan at 1-800-722-3025.ALSO contact the national highway traffic safety administration's auto safety hotline at 1-888-dash-2-dot (1-888-327-4236).
