- Vehicle description: school buses equipped with 6.0L gasoline engine, 10,000 lb. Front axle, and power steering. The power steering fluid can leak as a result of a power steering fluid supply hose interference condition.
- Consequence
- Eventually, all power steering assist would cease, resulting in a loss of steering control.
- Remedy
- Dealers will install a new power steering hose and adapter.
- Notes
- Owner notification began may 4, 1999.OWNERS who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Chevrolet at 1-800-222-1020 or GMC at 1-800-462-8782.
