- Vehicle description: motorcycles. A coolant water hose can come loose at the thermostat housing during operation.
- Consequence
- Steam released could obscure the rider's vision or leaking coolant could make the rear tire slip.
- Remedy
- Dealers will install and properly tighten two new hose clamps.
- Notes
- Owner notification began July 14, 1999. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact yamaha at 1-800-962-7926.ALSO contact the national highway traffic safety administration's auto safety hotline at 1-888-dash-2-dot (1-888-327-4236).
