- Vehicle description: low speed utility vehicles. These vehicles do not comply with the requirements of FMVSS no. 500, "low speed vehicles," and part 567, "certification." these vehicles do not have a 17 digit vehicle identification number attached, have incorrect windshield material and markings, and no certification label.
- Remedy
- Dealers will install VIN labels and AS-1 safety glass.
- Notes
- Owner notification began December 1, 1999. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact ultra carts at 1-909-739-0134.ALSO contact the national highway traffic safety administration's auto safety hotline at 1-888-dash-2-dot (1-888-327-4236).
