For the 1993 Country Coach Motor Home. These apply to the model and year, not to one particular vehicle: check your VIN to see whether yours is included and whether it has been repaired.

Has your Country Coach been repaired?

Recalls here come from NHTSA’s records for the model and year. Not every vehicle of a model is included in every recall, and this site can’t see whether a repair has been done. Only a VIN lookup can tell you that.

NHTSA’s VIN search doesn’t show recalls that were already repaired, recalls more than 15 years old, or some small manufacturers’ recalls. A Country Coach dealer can also check your VIN. Recall repairs are free.

Steering › Gear box (other than rack and pinion)

Summary
Vehicle description: motor homes. The steering gear box is mounted on a support located under the driver's seat floor. On motor home models, this support varies in height with the optional interior height. With 83 and 86 inch height options, the support may be overloaded in certain operation conditions.
Consequence
A continuously fully loaded vehicle that has to maneuver in tight space frequently can develop stress cracks at the steering gear box support. A loss of control could occur, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will add a reinforcement to the steering support. Prevost is handling the owner notification and remedy for this campaign. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact prevost at 418-831-5432 or country coach at 1-800-547-8015.
