Parking brake

Summary: On certain low-speed 2, 4, or 6-passenger short, long and long bed xd electric vehicles, an insufficient weld on the hand park lever brake assembly (parking brake) may fail. This failure causes a total loss of parking brake hold.
Consequence: A failure of the parking brake will allow the vehicle to roll away if it is parked on an incline, creating the risk of a crash or injury.
Remedy: Gem will replace the parking brake assembly on all affected vehicles. The recall began on November 26, 2007. Owners may contact gem at 1-866-764-0616.
