Summary: When the furnace and cooktop are operating at the same time, the furnace air-circulating fan can pull the cooktop burner flame down into the aluminum burner, causing the burner to melt.
Consequence: This condition can cause a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will install an enclosure under the cooktop to correct the air flow problem.
