Summary: Power steering pumps may have a ridge inside the aluminum housing which could detach itself from the housing and become wedged inside the relief valve, keeping it open.
Consequence: This could result in sudden loss of assistance to thesteering with the potential for an accident.
Remedy: Replace power steering pump.
