Summary: A clip on the shifter mechanism inside the console may become dislodged preventing indication of the correct gear selection under conditions of darkness.
Consequence: The clip could also bind part of the shifter mechanismin a way which would prevent gear detents from operating this could causeundesired gear position. This could cause vehicle crash without prior warning.
Remedy: The clip will be replaced to preclude the condition from occuring.
