Summary: A throttle control cable with an inner "steel shielded" component was substituted for a cable with an inner "steel stranded" component in a design which requires a minimum bend radius of 4 inches. The inner "steel shielded" cable has a minimum bend radius of 8 inches, and can bind or break in its current use in the throttle assembly.
Consequence: This can result in loss of vehicle speed control and an accident.
Remedy: Replace the entire cable a new cable with the specified 4 inch radius capability.
