On certain heavy duty class 8 trucks assembled by Volvo trucks, the transmission may go into forward gear without the driver first pressing down on the brake pedal.

- On certain heavy duty class 8 trucks assembled by Volvo trucks, the transmission may go into forward gear without the driver first pressing down on the brake pedal.
- Consequence
- This condition could allow the vehicle to move forward without warning, creating the potential for a vehicle crash.
- Remedy
- Dealers will install an additonal air operated stop light switch and necessary wiring changes. Owner notification began September 2003. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact autocar at 765-489-5499.
