- On certain transit buses equipped with caterpillar C9 diesel engines, the turbocharger compressors are failing and oil can be discharged into the exhaust and external to the turbocharger.
- Consequence
- A fire can occur.
- Remedy
- Caterpillar is conducting this recall (please see 06E047) and will repair the engines free of charge. Owners may contact caterpillar at 1-800-447-7332, or new flyer at 204-934-4876.
